The card charges 19.99% on purchases, 22.99% on cash advances, and balance transfer. The additional card will cost you $29. Plus, the fee of 2.5% applies to the transactions made in foreign currency.

As a result of the “welcome reward”, a new cardholder has to opportunity to earn 30,000 reward points on eligible everyday purchases of at least $1000 within the first 3 months. Additionally, you get to earn 10,000 reward points on everyday eligible purchases of at least $7500 in the first year. These two offers are for those who open their account by Aug 31, 2021. Combining the above two offers, the cardholder earns up to 40,000 scotia reward points that are equivalent to $400 towards travel. After that, you get to earn 5 points for every $1 eligible purchase made at grocery stores, dining, and entertainment. You get to earn 3 points for every $1 eligible purchase made on gas, daily transit, and eligible streaming services. Finally, you earn 1 point for every $1 spent on other eligible purchases. Offer Description and Conditions: To be eligible for the 30,000 bonus Scotia Rewards points (the “30,000 Point Bonus”), you must open a new Account by August 31, 2021 and have at least $1,000 in eligible purchases posted to your new Account in the first 3 months from the Account open date. The 10,000 Point Bonus will be credited to the primary cardholder’s Scotia Rewards account within approximately 2-3 business days after you have met the $7,500 annual spend threshold on the Account, provided your Account is open and in good standing. The Account is considered in good standing if it is not delinquent (past due) or over limit and the Cardholder(s) is not in breach of the Revolving Credit Agreement that applies to the Account.
